Improving the quality of life in the communities in which we work is a central commitment for United House. We recognise our Corporate Social Responsibility is a measure by which we are judged and is therefore a critical factor in our business strategy and long term success. As such we have invested in local training and education programmes, apprenticeships and other employment opportunities, charity-giving and community development schemes designed to leave a lasting legacy long after our projects have completed.
We manage and measure our CSR performance rigorously, and have a well-established committee, chaired by our Group Chief Executive, who establish priorities, set and monitor KPIs and feedback to all levels of our business.
Our CSR strategy is applied to four business areas – Workplace, Health and Safety, Environment and Community (including our charity-giving).
