Ian Burnett

Chief Executive Officer

Ian has a strong business and commercial acumen and a proven track record of ability in strategic leadership. Whilst Managing Director at Wates Living Space (Social Housing division of the Wates Group), Ian was instrumental in setting both the strategy and direction of the business for 8 years. Ian tries, wherever possible, to address areas of social injustice, and his personal and work ethics have led him to create a strong culture of corporate responsibility, ensuring that community engagement is at the heart of what the organisation does. Ian’s professional qualifications include FRICS and Membership of the Chartered Institute of Housing. Outside of work, Ian has been involved with the Housing Forum, and is a Business Coach for Start Up Business with the Leeds Chamber of Commerce.

Jeffrey Adams

Non-Executive Chairman

Jeffrey was an early and vociferous supporter of the Egan Report and of the changes it encouraged the industry to undertake. When Jeffrey became a Director in 1985, he was responsible for transforming United House from a specialist heating contractor to the multi-million pound construction company it has become. Today the Company leads both the PPP and Partnering sectors.

Stuart Laird

Managing Director

Stuart is a highly experienced strategist and operator within the construction, support services and infrastructure markets, having held senior executive positions in each of these sectors. One main focus of his career has been maximising shareholder value through leading teams to create profitable growth. Previous roles have included COO of Wates Living Space and CEO of Jarvis plc. He is passionate about developing and mentoring new talent within the construction industry. Stuart is also a non-executive director of Sovereign Housing Association.

Daren Moseley

Divisional Director, Refurbishment

Daren joined United House in October 2012 and has over 25 years of management experience delivering refurbishment, maintenance and development works in both the public and private sectors. Prior to United House, Daren was Regional Managing Director at Keepmoat Group.

Steve Carden

Divisional Director, Construction

Steve joined United House in October 2013. He was previously Director, Regional Businesses for John Sisk & Son and before that he was Managing Director, Construction and Housing at ROK Construction, and Managing Director, Building Division at Osborne. Steve is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
