Paul Street

Case Study Details

Description

This small boutique-style development, on the site of a former public house, will be transformed into a new six-storey building comprising eight one and two bedroom cutting edge apartments and one magnificent three bedroom duplex penthouse. There will also be 400 sq m of office space over the ground and basement levels.

All of the apartments are for private sale and feature bespoke European kitchens, chic bathrooms and under floor heating throughout. All the latest gadgets come as standard, including video entry phone systems and cable infrastructure for controlled lighting, heating/cooling, security, closing and opening curtains and audio/visual entertainment. A few of the apartments will also have private terraces.

The site occupies a corner plot bounded by Paul Street and Blackall Street in the centre of Shoreditch, tucked away off Great Eastern Street and just 400 metres from Old Street underground station.

The project will include the reconstruction of the front and part of the sides of the public house’s historic façade while the rear of the building has been transformed to create a stylish new six-storey structure by leading architects Waugh Thistleton.

Paul Street offers a rare opportunity to purchase an apartment in the one of London’s most fashionable and well-established districts. Just a stone’s throw from the well-known technology hub of ‘The Silicon Roundabout’ at Old Street, this scheme will attract City workers and young professionals looking for a cutting edge new home in a cool location.
