Description

The residents of Nestor Court in Brighton have received a new hairdressing salon and upgraded community rooms thanks to help from Housing Management and Development Group Places for People, charity Age Concern and specialist housing contractors United House.

Places for People provided the rooms for the residents of Nestor Court, a housing development for older people in Brighton, while specialist housing contractor United House assisted with building materials and labour for the project.

We converted the former kitchen into a salon with a special backwasher chair, installed kitchen units in the community room and a dishwasher and washing machine into the utility room. The community rooms were also newly decorated and carpeted. A new flat screen television and sofa were also donated by Places for People. A dedicated fortnightly hairdressing service as well as an advice service for residents will be run from the new facilities.
