Description

On Saturday 16 July 2011, we held our 5-a-side football tournament. Staff, clients, sub-contractors, friends and family raised £3,790 for our staff charities of the year, Help for Heroes and EllenorLions Hospices.

Despite the rainy weather, a total of 21 teams took part on the day and the winners were plastering contractors, Stanmore. Each member of the winning team received a pair of tickets to attend our United House Race Day at Ascot later in the year.

Nicola Irvine from the EllenorLions Hospices said: “I’m overwhelmed by the support from United House and all the companies who took part in the football tournament. As a charity we rely on the generosity of others to provide care for those who need our help. We cannot thank them enough.”

Bryn Parry OBE, CEO and Co-Founder of Help for Heroes, said: “United House’s wonderful 5-a-side fundraising football match is welcomed, they should be congratulated and, on behalf of all those who the money will benefit, thanked. Well done United House; Great effort!”
